Joyce Frankland Academy, Newport, has a strong history of creating excellent musical theatre. We are proud to say that we have produced some of the best shows in the area over the last ten years. Our list has included Grease, We Will Rock You, Chicago, Spamalot and Back to the 80s. We have an active and vibrant Drama department with students studying both GCSE and A-level. The school musical welcomes students from all year groups every year to perform and work on our technical team.

ALICE

Join our wonderful cast of students from years 7 to 13 as they explore the world of Wonderland. Alice is bored of her mundane life when a magical portal opens to an exciting new world. Filled with songs and dance numbers created and choregraphed by our students, Alice meets lots of fantastical characters who teach her a little bit more about herself. Follow the White Rabbit and encounter Kings, Queens, cards, flowers, minions, knights, a chilled out caterpillar, a suspicious cat, Humpty Dumpty and ofcourse our favourite twins Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum. Told by a crew of “in-the-know” storytellers, Alice promises to be filled with fun! Join us for our adventure on the following dates: 
11th July 7pm
12th July 7pm
13th July 2pm and 7pm

The show is 2 hours long, with an interval and a full refreshments bar catered by the wonderful NPA will be available.
