Course Overview

Our aim is to build on the skills developed at KS3 and to gain an in depth understanding of the modules covered at GCSE. At KS4, students are provided with opportunities to consolidate their oral and written communication skills, their critical thinking and problem-solving skills, needed to become articulate, open minded communicators able to study and work abroad.

Wider Impact:
International and Global Dimension Language learning and teaching provides opportunities to promote the spiritual, cultural, mental and physical development of pupils and prepares them for the opportunities, experiences and responsibilities of adult life. The study of a range of cultural differences and similarities provide scope for class discussion on British and European values. Students are encouraged to express, contrast and justify their ideas and opinions using real life experiences and situations (jobs, marriage, love, family issues, citizenship, health, social welfare, local and global issues)
